Preventing dengue

Since the recent outbreak of Dengue in Singapore , i have been going through my balcony, the pond the toilets and the kitchen, EVERYWHERE, making sure to clear any tiny bit of stagnant WATER!

I am paranoid and i still am. Because we have our loved ones yay..

So lets Help to get rid of it!

The best way to prevent dengue fever is by taking precautions to avoid being bitten by mosquitoes which include:

  1. Using a mosquito repellent containing DEET, or oil of lemon eucalyptus

  2. Dressing in protective clothing during the day-long-sleeved shirts, long pants, socks, and shoes especially in early morning hours before day break and in late afternoon after dark.

  3. Keeping unscreened windows and doors closed

  4. Getting rid of areas where mosquitoes breed, such as standing water in flower pots, containers, and bamboo poles.
